I'm getting tired of "Wolverine" treatment that Charizard is getting. GameFreak loves him but it's not everyone's favorite starter. Blastoise is my prefered starter of the bunch, Charizard is shit and has shit stats. Nintendo needs to stop sucking Genwunner cock.

I agree, I know plenty of people when I was a kid who prefered Blastoise, it was pretty close to 50/50 in terms of number who liked Blastoise than Charizard back then. Tho only a small handful liked Venusaur

Not OP, but I kind of agree. Giving two megas to only one of the starters is a dick move. It's kind of saying: "Yeah you can pick whichever you like because they're all guy, but this one is better than the other two."

No, it would've been okay if they gave ALL the kanto starters two evos. Instead, they gave Charizard two great evos, and gave Blastoise and Venusaur only one, and compared to the ones they gave Charizard, they might as well have not bothered.

It was popular to begin with. Pokemon red having it on the cover, and the emphasis put on it in the anime made it popular. It's been the most popular (well originally it shared that with Pikachu probably) for 10 years now.

They've literally only just revealed the 2nd mega form.

For all we know they could still be waiting to reveal another Venusaur and Blastoise form along with a load of other alternate mega forms.

They aren't. Leaks have shown that Venusaur's Mega Stone is just 'Venusaurite'. If it had a second evo, it would be 'Venusaurite X' or 'Venusaurite Y'.

Are there pics confirming the charmander megastone is Charizardite X/Y?

Maybe you get an x/y stone to fuse with the evolite.

I don't know jap but in the origins movie there were 2 stones that fused to make the mega charizard x, I assumed that could have been it.

I was fine with special treatments as long as they only really affected marketing and didn't result in a special treatment in-game. If Charizard is seriously the only kanto starter to get 2 megas in the end, GF can go fuck themselves.
