It's fucking tongue scarf, while not an actual problem design wise for a ninja frog, looks stupid for a froakie evo because they got rid of the bubbles which were a prominent part of it's other stages. It's even called "Bubble frog Pokemon" in the dex. If the tongue was a part of it's design from the start it'd be better but instead we have a big shift in the prominent design features. They could have had a scarf of bubbles instead of a tongue and the concept would have been the same idea but more fitting with the other stages.
Delphox at least still looks like a witch and overall follows a consistent progression through it's stages.
Luckily I wanted Chespin from the start so I can hope it's final evo isn't shit. I'll get used to these ones anyways like I did with gen 5 starters so I'll eventually stop caring regardless.
