Jesus ew, i had so much hype for its final, honestly, this is probably the shittiest starter final design.
Colors are shit, should be more dark brown, arms too damn long for its body, stupid looking legs, four pack of nuts on his head, really badly bland looking. Damn it, I had hope.

People hate it because it's not enough like its first form?

I like it because it actually embodies evolution. I hate it when Pokemon evolutions just consist of "it gets bigger/fatter/angrier-looking".

The thing is, Chesnaught is a natural progression. It's becoming bulkier and more defensive, the armor is becoming stronger.
Froakie 2->3 makes no sense, if anything is the Samurott of this gen, it's Greninja.
