The entire VI roster of 'mons could be completely shit (and many of them are), and I'd still buy X. With as many Pokemon as there already are and the addition of mega-evolutions, it's not as essential as it used to be for the new Pokemon to be good.

Seriously though. The design is really aesthetically pleasing and then the concept just takes the cake. Braixen is the overconfident, yet kind of cute apprentice witch and upon evolution becomes a much wiser looking mystic in full on magician robes. I fucking love it.

You guys really like to make a big deal out of things though. It's fine if you don't like it, but you really don't have to yell to the heavens and everyone else that you hate it. Not everyone is going to hate the same things you hate, and not everyone will like the same things you like. It's always going to be like this, no matter what for every single Pokemon. It doesn't matter what any of the evos turned out to be, because people would have complained regardless. They always do and always will, so the only thing you should be taking into account is what you think and how you feel.

My question is, what exactly did you expect? Most fan art suggested a bigger Braixen. The final evo is almost never a bigger version of the middle evo, the only generation where that really happened was the second generation. I can't believe how mad some of you guys got over this. If there's one thing you should realize at this point it's that you can NEVER tell what the starter's final evolution is going to look like before it's revealed. It's always radically different than it's first evolution, so by deciding which starter you were going to pick before the evolutions were revealed, you were setting yourself up for disappointment. Just fuck off already with this >PREOARDER KANSELLED bullshit.
