I love Chespin and Quilladin but I'm really unsure about Chessnaught. The final forms of all three starters are too anthropomorphic for my tastes.

I always choose the grass-type starter so I'll still choose Chespin; but might end up just boxing him in favour of another Kalos grass-type (like Orotto!)

Not liking this, at all, and I really liked Quilladin.

But this final form discards all the elements of his previous evolutions, like the ear-spikes, general roundness, general color scheme and not being human-shaped.

I expected another somewhat round, animal-like Pokemon, not a guy wearing chipmunk mask and a spiky backpack.
