especially now that I know the white spot on it's head isn't an eggshell, and it appears to still have a tail.

Actually, it's body pattern kind of reminds me of Frieza. This further justifies my planned nickname of "Kuriza", which is Frieza's son from a Toriyama gag series. (Plus Kuri = Chestnut)

Pretty sure Spiky Shield is its signature move, along with Delphox's Mystic Fire and Greninja's Water Shuriken. Doubt we'll see it on another poke this gen.

Spikey Shield works like Reflect/Light Screen. It protects you for 5 turns but instead of reducing damage the attacker takes 1/2 of the damage it deals.

Is this 1/2 damage it calculates or half the damage it actually deals?
Example, +6 Heatran uses Overheat against a level 1 Dry Skin Paras in the sun.
Does Heatran take 6 damage (half of Paras' 12 hp) or several thousand points of damage (half of what is actually calculated)?

Seem pretty gimicky. I'm guessing the deal is the pokemon needs to hit you with a PHYSICAL move so it's not as great. But then again if it applies for your teammates then a ferrothron with rockyhelmet sounds pretty brutal. Maybe even hitting something with High HP like Blissy for instance...it'd be like a free counter

Don't think anyone's confirmed what it does aside from the blurb, which simply states "in addition to protecting the user from attacks, this move also damages any attacker who makes direct contact."

So the part about not reducing damage is straight up wrong.
