Anyone in/around Chicago going to that Streetpass event on the 13th? I saw it on Bulbapedia's event page and it's the only Pokemon event happening in Chicago on the weekend of X/Y's release. Pokemon tournament + Streetpasses sounds pretty good. I doubt many of us will be far into X/Y by the next day though.

I live in the loop and have come to a couple of these. The crowd has been pretty nuts the past couple times and a TV crew came to the last one and was interviewing some of the heads of it.

Yeah, what was up with that camera last time? I was playing ACNL and the guy I was playing with was pulled over to that table to talk about the event. I honestly didn't realize so many people knew about streetpass chi.

Also, fyi to those of you who are new, this is the only gaming-related place outside of ACEN that i have seen so many cute girls.

there are definitely some neckbeards that come and the occasional hambeast but it's a surprisingly attractive bunch of people for a day long video game event that usually has about 50/60 people at any given time

Avoid getting off on the skyway. It's terrible. Always know where the lake is relative to you, it helps with directions. If push comes to shove take 65north to 294
