I get that he's "unique" because he's the only rival that's a full fledged ass (because evil DICKS has his moments of being friendly), but when you take everything into consideration, it's just pathetic how little he accomplished. In a way, he wasn't really that relevant to the plot because he never did anything besides battling you. Blue becomes the champion and the Gen 4 and 5 rivals help you fight the evil teams. What's Silver do besides get his ass whipped?
Character development doesn't do much for him either since we get some of that from Blue, Barry, Cheren, and Bianca. Even fucking Wally had character development.
