For example, let's say we have two groups of lizards. One group of lizards over time "evolve" to be extremely slim, quick, and able to eat a variety of foods.
The other group of lizards evolve to have big fat plump asses and can only eat grass. Evolution is just the process. It is not finite. Natural selection is also not a great process. It just churns out the best survivor of whatever environment the creature is in.
So could there be a species of frog that lives with a tongue too big to fit in its own mouth. Yes, feasibly. It's obviously not the best adaptation for it, but it is still possible. There's probably a species of frog like that already.
Also, Greninja is fucking great. I can't believe people are actually bitching about it. I even like the other final evos for fennekin and chespin.
