I played red when it first came our, some pokemon colosseum. Some yellow. Pokeman mystery dungeon for about 20 minutes. I recently got black 2 used pokegen and got myself a gen 1 team and proceeded to fight my way through the bizarro world that is newgen. It was great I got the mechanics of new gen and the pokeman I cared about. If there are enough gen 1 pokemon in the first few hours in x/y id be willing to buy it.
Tldr the firstgen starters are a good starting point. What do you guys think?
