I couldn't see any current ones, plus you can't argue that the pacing was Goddawful.

Cubone and Silph are probably the two main plot points of the original games, but they could have at least paced it a bit better than having a giant clip show for the game.

The Elite 4 is not something you simply cut, especially when you put so much time into something as simple as a sad Cubone.

In the game, Red went in there and kicked their asses without hesitation, so why was the Red in this special so Goddamn pleb tier that he needed 20 minutes of feely bullshit to do it in?

That's you projecting on a blank slate. Red is a character based on said games.

Also I'd like to hear how you would show off the entire game in about 2 hours without it being horribly paced, or something being cut.

They went with the more important story aspects, the Elite 4 isn't much of a story since the battle with the Elite 4 obviously varied for everyone.

I'm right there with you on the they should have just made it a series, but given it was a 1 hour special, I'm saying shit had to be cut and the Elite 4 makes sense since it's really a blank slate with nothing established to work with.

You missed the point of the whole thing.

The Pokemon Tower event was more important to the mega evolution climax than a generic league battle.
