I actually agree, but it doesn't make the gen bad. It'll probably just be like a gen 2 and 4. About 80 something new mons, but the game is generally focused on new shit other than the pokemon.

Except most of the new ones look pretty bad.

No genwunners do not exist here or at least not in large numbers. They are mostly on /v/ and don't give a shit about pokemon. People are just expressing their concerns over the designs and main attraction of gen 6 being completely shit which I agree with. Keep being delusional though.

All of the new Pokemon shown/leaked over the past week have been pretty terrible. The games themselves look great, but damn, I'll be disappointed if we don't get any more good pokemon designs.

The game and gameplay looks amazing but the new Pokemon are god awful and we're only getting 70?

At this point I'm assuming Sugimori designed the Megas while artists like James Turner designed the new Pokemon.

I made a post yesterday about how I have been with Pokemon since Yellow, and I love everything Pokemon. And even I, am disgusted and very disappointed by all the new Pokemon shown. The majority thinks they do not look good and I agree. And coming from someone like me, my opinion matters more than your shitty one. They are fucking bad. What I'm most disappointed about is what they did with that ghost sword. I was talking with my friends what his evo could be, maybe a ghostly Dullahan wielding the first evo while letting out a spooky aura? Nah, let's have two together. Very uninspired.

I basically force myself to use new pokemons, if not I would end using always the same ones. There is may be one or at most two worth pokemon in each new generation.

I feel like this gen is just going to be a giant middle finger to the fans.

I'm still...kind of hyped for everything else the game has to offer besides the mega evolutions, but I feel like I won't enjoy it as much because of the lack of new pokemon. The leaks yesterday were seriously depressing.

I just wish they looked better and maybe at least 100. You know we've seen all the new Pokemon basically.

You know, if they decide to do this I'm kinda okay with it. Not spectacularly happy, but definitely okay with it.
As of now, it's totally arbitrary what gets a mga and what doesn't, and I frankly don't understand how GF can or could push just a few [a lot of them not requiring a stronger form anyway] pokemon while literally leaving others in the dust. However megas could possibly appeal to me, this element makes me dislike the mechanic. Unless they go full circle and go crazy on designing megas for every mon.

I think if anything this proves that Pokemon are getting uglier.

Not that I believe that, particularly - but you used a bad example image.

My problem with the Gen 6 mons is that I just don't really feel strongly about any of them. I HATED most of the Gen 5's and I do think Gen 6's are better, but there's not many that make me go 'WOW INSTAGET'.

I think perhaps Vivillon and Xerneas are the only ones I really really like.

Magnemite is more than a magnet and dugtrio/diglett are their own creatures entirely.

I like doublade and honedge, but there's a big difference between those comparisons.

Also I actually like Binacle so far.

In design, Honedge is not more than a sword it is pretty much exactly just a sword.

Magnemite was far more than just a magnet, it deviated further from being a Magnet than Honedge did from being a sword. I don't think there is anything wrong with this, as I'm pretty sure Honedge and Doublade are supposed to be possessed Swords/Coat of arms.

Magnemite and Honedge are modelled on existing items - Magnets and Swords

Diglett is not, it's just a completely new kind of creature altogether.
