I always spell pokémon correctly (but I have to watch out on this board, because it makes my posts identifiable as few other people do so).
If you use linux, there's an easy way to key accented characters by setting a "compose key." Then all you have to do is hit the "compose key" (usually set to be the "windows" key) followed by single-quote then "e" to get é. It also inables you to correctly spell words like naïve, to make • bulleted lists, and correctly romanize words like Tōkyō, without resorting to alt + numpad, which is much slower and requires remembering a lot of arbitrary numbers.
