So we saw the details for Spiky Shield, what about Mystical Fire and Water Shuriken?

Attacking moves or status moves? Powerful or not? Interesting side effects?

Water Shuriken is a water version of Fury Attack with priority.
Mystical Fire is 65 BP and has a chance to lower SpA.

Water Shuriken is 20 base with 100% accuracy and priority. Now, with some bad luck, it's a special aqua jet, but get some hits off and its' > the other two.

None of the signatures are very good.
Weak fire Snarl
Weak water Fury Attack
Grass move relies on user using contact move (so an Air Slash can still fuck him sideways)
Its no Muddy Water thats for sure

Well assuming 15 base, if it does get technician it'll have 68-170 power, and that's without even calculating rain boost or effectiveness.
Hell even without technician 30-75 power without counting rain boost is pretty impressive for a priority.

Breloom can actually be defensive despite shit defensive stats because grass/fighting is great.

All Chestnaught needs is a decent movepool, and spiny shield seems pretty awesome.

Isn't Torterra's Atk a lot better than Chesnaught's?

Torterra and Ferrothorn work because they can they a hit and hit back, Chesnaught will just stand there and wait until he's dead.

He was great in Gen III even though his only ability kind of fucked with his most useful move, spore. He was a damn good Focus Puncher since he had STAB and could disable the opponent with Spore instead of having to rely on Substitute like everyone else.

Once he got Poison Heal and people realized they could throw a Toxic orb on him, he became GOAT.

Anyway, that Spiky Shield move is damn near the best signature move of any starter so far.
Leech Seed+Spiky Shield=Actually pretty capable tank. No doubt it'll get toxic + Spore/Powder moves of some sort as well. Damn.

Well, supposedly Water Shuriken is base 15.
STAB makes it 22.5
In rain it makes it 45
If it works like the other multi-hits, it makes it power 90-225, before the actual pokemon's stats come in.

Now you sub until the berry and torrent activates, then spam water shuriken.
Because of its very high speed most other priority moves will fail to outspeed Greninja and he can own everything including sash users.
