That or make it look like an actual robe and not like a dress (because it's totally a dress unless they add a seam parting the middle and make it go up its entire torso rather than end at its hip area pseudo-continue in the form of a top part of it with a different fur section).
Part of the reason it looks so bland is because it's so...triangular without balance. Even just perking its tail up so it has something for the body to contrast against would have improved its design. It's not "under designed," just designed blandly.
