Anyway, I completely agree with your order f the grass mons.

For water : Empoleon, Greninja, Blastoise, Samurott, Feraligatr, Swampert

For fire : Charizard(see : green text ; he's also the only with wings if you discount Empoleon), Emboar, Typhlsion, Delphox, Infernape, Blaziken

I think Delphox looks pretty bad so you can imagine how I feel about Nape and Blaziken. By far Grass has the best designs then water with fire dragging it's ass far behind.

Besides aesthetics, which are a factor, what really settles it for me is the what the fucker is worth in battle.

Mono types beyond 1st gen have no fucking excuse. That's why I'm so disgusted with gen 2 starters, though they are aesthetically pleasing.
Same for repeating types, shitty stats distributions, or lame movepools.

Without a doubt though, gen 5 is the most fucking disappointing.
2 mono types and the 3rd fire/fighting. Holy shit. The only reason Seperior gets a pass is because he's fucking amazing looking and has the unique Contrary ability from DW.

The other two are a fucking abortions.

Personally, not a fan of Pigs ore boars as animals.
Plus it went from Cute Piglet, to Derp Herp Lurmp, to this Round Mound Around Town. It feels more cohesive than Dewott to Samurott but I just don't see anything really striking in it.

I don't really dislike any water or grass starter, in fact I quite like all the water starters so the first row was very hard to decide. Empoleon always first though.

I feel like one of the only people who liked Samurott compared to the other two from Gen 5. Gen 5 and Gen 2 were, in my opinion, the weakest as far as starter design.

To me the best was Gen 4 or right now Gen 6

I like Emboar a hell of a lot more than Serperior design-wise, that's for sure.

I can't agree more with this.
I like sceptile because he isn't wearing some stupid armor and doesn't look like just a man with a furry suit like other designs, but he doesn't look that cool either.
All those guys there deserve to be there. They just aren't so good.

Decents are all as decent implies, they are ok, but not amazing.

And the greats are really great but perfects are all flawless.
