What about ghost types? Fighting moves can't affect them but flying can. Is it half damage or doesn't work at all?

It's not a dual type move.

It's a Fighting type move that ALSO deals SE to Flying. Nothing more. Much like Freeze Dry dealing SE to Water. Much like Psyshock using Defense for counting damage.

Except that's clearly what it says, look at the move's type next to the name, it's Fighting.

However the effect lets it provide a Flying type bonus too.

This combination actually doesn't seem very useful.

-Neutral to Steel
-Neutral to Bug
-Neutral to Rock
-NVE: Electric, Flying, Poison, Psychic, Fairy
-Ghosts gives no fucks
-SE: Normal, Fighting, Grass, Ice, Dark
-No double effectives in and of itself, so it can still only get as high as 4x effective, and only on dual-typed pokemon.

It'll be useful to be sure. 80 BP and 95 Acc is pretty good, but the inability to hit Steel for SE really kills it.

Against duel-typed pokemon I assume
Vs. Neutral/SE = SE
Vs. SE/SE = 4x SE
Vs. NVE/SE = Neutral
Vs. NVE/NVE = double NVE
Vs. Neutral/NVE = NVE

Ignore the first guy, he's obviously retarded.

The move is ONLY fighting, so it only gets STAB bonus once. but will take into account Flying/Fighting resistances and weaknesses into account, so it will be possible in the next gen to to 4x damage or more, aswell as get resisted 4x.

I am pretty sure I am horribly wrong, but...

The move is invisibly "split" into halves, each half gets it's STAB (thus, if you get STAB on both, you get regular stab, if not, just 1.25x STAB) and each half calculates super-effectiveness separately.

Say Fire Punch.
vs. Heatran it's deal 37.5 BP super-effective damage and activate Flash Fire
vs. Registeel it'd be unchanged (unless you only get half the STAB, unless you are Infernape)

Simultaneously means at the same time, MEANING It gets Fighting STAB boost being listed as a Fighting type attack IN addition to having Flying type's effectiveness so therefore this move is super effective against Fighting, Normal, Grass, Dark and Ice type Pokemon (Fighting and Flying cancel out their Bug, Steel and Rock SE's)

The icon doesn't deal with how the damage is taken. It's what stat the move is riding off of. In this case, It's a physical move that gets Fighting STAB.

If there are a decent number of these moves and lots of Pokemon can learn them, then say goodbye to ever switching in competitive battles ever again.

They tried to balance the game with a new type, but that's not what made the game unbalanced in the first place. Shit likeTHIS makes the game unbalanced, ridiculously overpowered moves and stats and fucking power creep.

And how do these dual-typed moves even work? Would this flying/fighting attack deal neutral damage to a steel-type? Does it factor in both STABs and basically act like Adaptability?

Even without the quadruple SE, having something that hits with a 4xStab and has priority is some sort of broken I've never fathomed. Adaptability and dual-type moves, if it gets STAB from each, is some sort of ascension into godhood

Those aren't single types. Each of them is weak to one of either flying or fighting. In order to have the multiplier be more than 4x, at least one type needs to be weak to both attacking types. There are no types that share flying and fighting as a weakness. So there are no types combos that are more than 4x weak to a fighting/flying move.
