I still have trouble with the shoulder spikes, there should either be one spike sticking out to the side, or 3 spikes with the 3rd sticking out to the side. having the two in front and back with that negative space though seems weird

You should get the Y version too if you like Charizard, because Mega Charizard Y is the one that's actually competitively viable.

The Megastones are items. You just FIND Charizardite X in X version. You can trade the X stone over, though, just like any other item.

If you couldn't that would literally go against the very design purpose and philosophy of having 2 versions side by side. Wouldn't make any sense.

its more likely that mega charizard forms is based on the version its in rather than the stone itself.
