But I'm referring to the other Megas, I'm quite certain that 70 new is true though.

I'm fine with it. I expected about 100 since it's an even gen and MUH PATTERNZ but honestly this is fine for me. Though quite a few of the new ones are just not too good, so maybe it's a good thing that there's hardly any new ones.

I'm perfectly okay with this. There are way too many Pokémon already, and the designs have been getting worse and worse. Expanding on existing Pokémon is a good way to add new content to the game without inflating the Pokédex even further.

They're not legitimate evolutions, more like a power up. If it were a real evolution, they wouldn't revert back to their basic final stage again, and wouldn't just have Mega slapped right in front of the species name.

i think the main reason we only get 70 new pokemon is the COMPLETE UNPHAUL AND CHANGE IN GRAPHICS. Im no game programmer but im sure making a brand new engine takes quite a while and X/Y have a much different look compare to gen 5 than gen 4 did to 3. It wasnt just tweeking the engine and polishing it, it was making a brand new one.

and besides, fewer new pokemon means there are more old pokemon in the wild. Im sure if it was only new pokemon, people would have another thing to cry about.

It's really very little more effort then what gF did already. Why is it GF is defended for making a shitty looking 3D game, when any other developer would get rightly shat on for skimping.

They have had enough time to make this, all through HGSS it started up. This is just going to be some game that pulls the 3d gimmick of BW to the extreme.

no, they didn't.
mega evolutions are suppose to add cosmetics to the pokemon.
normal evolution is suppose to change their forms/aspect, not just add spikes or flames.

Sure there might be only 70 new pokemon but the sheer number of pokemon doesn't make the game good.

This gen is (from my understanding) adding a lot more important things than pokemon from a gameplay persepctive. We have longer routes, more stuff to do in between gyms (the second gym leader has 2 level 25 pokemon) and a huge variety of pokemon available in the wild.

This game is going to be incredibly fun to play through multiple times and nuzlocke unlike gen5.

The game is 1.7G on the eshop - I personally think that is an estimate. MonHun was about 1.7G to 2G. Now MonHun has 70+ monsters, with items, weapons, and armor for low, high, and G rank. The monsters all had their unique moves and behaviors as well - there's even slow down in the game because of much content there is. Now...why would XY be 1.7G if wouldn't have an absolute ton of content? Clothing, Pokemon and NPC models, Mechanics etc. I think we're looking at at least 100-130+ Pokemon. Anyone who says otherwise is a gullible chuckle fuck

Actually from the Health Bars we've seen they keep their regular name. Mega *name* is the name of the form just like Black/White Kyurem and Attack/Defense/Speed Deoxys but the Pokémon itself keeps its regular name.

It's also been reported Mega Evolutions on the Pokédex are sub entries for the Pokémon they're for.

So no, they're not new Pokémon.
