Just finished watching episode 1 and 2.
They're okay. Better than the regular anime but still nothing special. It's just cool to see a proper adaption of the games storyline, since neither the show nor Special follow it.

Also the Marowak episode was kind of shit.

This Special started out so promising, but maaan did it go downhill. They were just skipping over most of the battles, nothing but hit KO's most of the time, and although the fight with Mewtwo was pretty intense; It was too brief to make much of an impact. Mewtwo itself was underwhelming too, I expected it to be more savage in its attacks than just stand there and growl.
7/10, would watch if I run into it again, but could've missed it either way.

Saw the video to this. Those turtles were killing pigeons. There's another species of turtles in Africa that practically maraud smaller animals that come to shore. Ironically enough, I saw a clip in a documentary where these turtles were ganging up on a species of dove. It managed to get away but barely. They were pretty quick, too.

I think the reason for this response is because it's pretty jarring to hear that scream when you've always known pokemon to be very light hearted.

Sure it's not much but it does out into perspective how such a bite would actually be very painful to the pokemon.
