I actually think that Game Freak didn't put all the Mega Stones in the game. I'm pretty sure we're getting a lot of events where we can get Mega Stones for Pokémon we didn't know could mega evolve.

Because it is somewhat safer to try and cope with a looming vision of getting nothing for your bro than to step aboard the hype train with a good chance that the hype burnout over 'betrayed' expectations will leave you without even a single thought of consolation.

I would love to see megabanette, with a style similar to the new Mawile. But given Banette's shit stats from the start and its lack of love from the anime, I know it wouldn't happen anyway.

Watch them pull something silly like every gen after this one has Megas for the starters of the gen 5 before it. So for VI we get Kanto starters, gen VII we get Johto starters, gen VIII we get Hoenn Megas, ect.
