Sure, he looked stiff, but that's because it's a still image of a 3D model that is meant to animate and move. And it's his idle pose.

The only reason his arms are that long is because he needs to realistically move them around.

Chesnaught is pretty cool, and my favorite of the Kalos starters. I still think he should look like this though. A color scheme that continues from where Quilladin left off, and the three spikes on its head that the other two also had.

The coloration makes sense though. It's based off of a ripened chestnut shell and a peeled chestnut. The shell turns a paleish yellow and the chestnut itself is that off-white sort of color.

What I wish they would've done is made Quilladin's colors a little lighter to more easily transition into Chesnaught. I don't mind Chesnaught looking different, but I think it would've helped make the line look more uniform.

Frogadier could've had some details changed slightly to make him similar to Greninja as well, but again it still makes sense considering what it's based off of.

Even so, I still find the colors a little awkward. I think they could have colored it a bit better, while still representing a ripened chestnut.

I agree, a little work could have been done to transition the second evos to the third. The changes were too drastic, in my opinion.
