Since Goomy's line are most likley based off of the Blue Dragon Slug, do you think that its final evolution (if it has one) would be a Dragon/Poison type?

I expect dragon/water or dragon/fairy. There is no indication it's based on the dragon slug. Not in body shape, or coloration.

I think it's more of a sea angel or a sea butterfly. Sligoo even has a shell, but it doesn't have a whole lot of resemblance with G. atlanticus.

There can be more than one Pokemon based on the same creature. Just different concepts. See Ninetales and Delphox. Ninetales is a nine-tailed fox spirit, whereas Delphox is a shamanic (or possibly priestly) fox spirit.

Maybe it's based on some obscure species that incorporates dragon into its name. This was the entire reasoning for Vibrava and Flygon being dragon.
