Why the fuck do all the pokemon have tough claws? It seems like a lot of them are getting that ability. Do you think they'll give it to MegaScyther/Scizor too?

We have: MegaCharizard X, Barnacle Voltron, MegaAerodactyl and probably one or two more. I realize its a new move and all, but does seem like over kill.

Hopefully its as good as technician, and I can actually use some better moves on my scyther/scizor. Not that I dont like bullet punch and bug bite. I just think some of the more scythe-like moves would be appropriate.

yeah, that ability was garbage unless you've got a steamroller going through some one's team.

All I really want are some more abilities like that T-rex's strong jaw. Its cool to have themed power combos like all bite moves, or all claw moves and stuff.

I dont play competitively, so its pretty much useless for me. Only time it comes into play is if I'm fighting a trainer and plan on only using that pokemon. I'd rather have something thats good all the time.

The point is, its only good for trainers/gym leaders, and only if you can keep using that one poke. For those that swap a lot, its not that handy.

The only good users of moxie is Heracross. The rest of the good pokemon that get it also get intimidate and like it more, particularly in the VGC environment which in my opinion is the only valid competitive format

Also, moximence completely outclasses and replaced intimidate, krook and gyrados like moxie more, as does scarfty. Keep talking out of your ass, though. Moxie is, by far, the best ability for physical attackers.

no it isn't. singles is glorified rock paper scissors you babby. Intimidate is the best ability for the pokemon that get it. Heracross is only decent in singles which again is not a competitive format you delusional smogonfaggot

With the movepool that Scyther/Scizor have already, Tough Claws would benefit if you don't go the traditional Technician movepool. It might even be good on a Technician movepool as well, we won't find out until we know how much Tough Claws boosts contact moves (I would hope by at least 1.2-1.3 times, considering two MegaEvolutions have it currently).

Yeah. 1.3 would be nice. Something thats enough of a boost to make it worth while. I want me some X-scissor and Night Slash. Sadly he just doesnt get enough awesome moves that aren't streamlined for technician already or are special attack instead of phys.
