Hell, it's not even a plausible rumor
most of them haven't even made it past the 5th gym, I doubt they can make a conclusion like that, even if they were all at the beginning
Besides, that leaves room for a mere 13 or less legendaries. You can't expect the number of legendaries to go DOWN after the last 2 generations, can you?

What? We are already over 70 discovered Pokemon (including potential evolutions based on empty spaces in the Pokedex) and there are 45 Pokemon missing in Central + Coastal Pokedex plus another 100 missing in the Mountain Pokedex

I'd be more disappointed if it didn't seem like this Gen will be one of the best at everything else.

Of course I'd love to have much more, but it's not like they only had 151 pokemon to choose from. 3 dex of 150 each minimum. Over 700 monsters in total.

Where are people getting 70 from? There is no basis for that assumption. Is it that Charmander appears in the new Dex at 74? That's because you are given a gen 1 starter halfway through the game. There are more like 140 new pokemon

Quality over quantity would be a great argument if the quality were actually guaranteed, but it isn't. Most pokemon GF makes are just hit or miss so having more pokes makes it more likely to find one you actually like.

70 new pokemon after counting the ones we've seen would be underwhelming as fuck.

The ironic thing about the whole thing though is even the guy who said there were only 70 leaked pokemon was only estimating, and he was basing his estimation based on the Xernes # in the pokedex.

There are few pokemon that I've liked so far. My favorites being Froakie's line and Chespin's. Both containing some pokemon that are already amongst my favorites. Goomy, Helioptile, Pancham, Skrelp look good to me, not feeling Talonflame but I like fletchling.
