Howdy, /vp/, mind me asking; what is your greatest reason for wanting a Hoenn remake, alternatively, why would Hoenn NEED a remake?

Personally, as much as I enjoyed RSE, I don't think we need more remakes.

I actually really enjoyed Hoenn. I would like to see it available for 3ds. I thought the story was really fun as well as the pokemon. Also, I can no longer play it on my GBA - the battery for Sapphire died on me :(

I think we do because it gives GF time to work on something completely new without having pressure for a brand new game piled on them. While we were sucking up HGSS and soaking in their deliciousness they were able to come up with Gen V which definitely wasn't a bad direction for the series (especially BW2). Similarly BW2 essentially bought them more time and now we have XY.

My greatest reason? Hoenn has some great freaking Pokemon in it and it was the first time the games went past the whole evil crime organisation thing. Who wouldn't want to see 3D cutscenes of Rayqaza, Groudon and Kyogre duking it out?

I'm not quite sure what i enjoyed so much about Hoenn especially since my English wasn't a tenth of what it is today. That said i would happily settle for a digital version of Emerald on the e-store, They've done it with different franchise that used to be on gameboy, Why can't they do the same with this one?

I enjoyed the diversity that the region had, and its Physical/Special split is type based. The amount of water routes isn't that bad, the wild pokemon need to be more diverse. As for the trumpets, why the fuck would you NOT like them?

for me its because its the generation i started on, and i loved it to bits, so there is nostalgia bias, a 3d remake with slight terrain alteration, more varied pokemon (fucking wailmer and tentecool every two feet) and more endgame content would be cool (the battle frontier was the best in this gen imo, im not sure why they made it so much smaller in platinum)
