I swear, Game Freak's just fucking with us by this point. This is now the FIFTH generation since Dark was introduced, five and a half if you count Black2/White2, and still no gym? Did they not bother to notice the absolutely pathetic selection of Dark-type specialists for the Pokemon World Tournament in the previous game?

But on the other hand, we finally have a Rock-type gym that isn't first.... it's second. Great consolation, you repetitive assholes.

Oh, and an Ice gym that's last instead of second-to-last for the 4th time in a row. It's like GameFreak thinks that moving these types up by one later gym makes all the difference between early game and late game. Seriously, would it really be that unusual to face the type with the shittiest defenses as early as Rock, which was at least somewhat challenging with its Normal resistance?

It also bars Rock, Grass, and Electric from ever appearing in the E4 yet again. So what other E4 types haven't been used yet? I guess just Normal and Flying.... and I think Water and Steel if you don't count Champions. Kinda sad to think that types like Bug and Poison have already had an E4 member by this point.

Gym Leaders are role models and community leaders, the Japs wouldn't make one specialized in being dishonoraburu

Water, Fire, Dark, Ghost, Poison, Dragon, Steel, Ground and Flying.

I think Ghost will obviously get a spot since there are so many new ones. Steel, too.

Generation 2 was just filling in all the leftovers from generation 1's gyms (albeit in a severely half-assed manner; it's like they weren't even trying to think of good parties for the Flying and Bug gyms, and they used only one line for Morty despite having Misdreavus). After all that, there was still space left for one of the new types, but not both. They went with Steel instead of Dark, but back then, I'd say it was excusable. Generation 3 and onwards, however, the lack of a Dark gym was just bullshit.
