So, supposing I have two 3DSes and will be getting X and Y, how viable will it be to get a downloadable torchic, trade it from X to Y, and repeat to get a stockpile of blazikenite?

Presumably, if these events are like past events, you can farm them endlessly (as long as you trade one event to another game and reset the save file you'll be using to farm).
