Mismagius isn't particularly special in stats or moveset, so most likely not.

We don't even know how much fairy will change the overall competitive field fully, anyways.

Oh, i also forgot, fairy type makes her neutral to dark and gives her a super effective stab to counter. One of my favorites, really looking forward to playing around with the new options.

Gengar is 125/115. She's going to have to set herself apart from Gengar. Mismagius does have boosting moves and defensive prowess that it doesn't, so that's a start. The latter I feel is what's going to help it if it manages to jump up in usage at all.

If so, (and if I recall the Type Chart right,) she gains two immunities, loses her dark weakness, and gains two weaknesses.

If you have the shadow ball TM you're probably okay to do that. Pain split can be useful though so you might want to wait for that. You miss out on perish song, which is cool but doesn't really play to her strengths, and power gem which is typically outshined by thunderbolt (tm) as a coverage move.

Sylveon isn't going to be a premier anything, its viability is immediately jeopardized just by being an Eeveelution. It's best to just wait and see, I don't see Mismagius really making an impact.

What's the most common Dragon moveset? Dragon move, Earthquake, Fire move, Dragon dance or whatever. Some run Fighting moves. Dragonite runs Extremespeed. Latios runs Surf. None of that matters. They're all walled. Unless shit like Brave Bird Noivern appears.

3 out of 7 is bad. It was 2 out of 7 but Magic Mirror is valuable enough to people to bother with Espeon. Umbreon jumped to OU in like, the last 10 seconds of Gen 4 OU but it's a shitty Pokemon and I'm impressed that people thought Baton Passing Mean Looks was that pertinent.

Espeon is also great too.
They don't have to be "OU: The team" to be good evolutions.
Look at Milotic, it's not OU, but it's a great Pokemon.
Espeon, Jolteon, Vaporeon, and to a lesser extent, Umbreon, are great pokemon

Gengar is faster and stronger, has a double type advantage, has a wider movepool, and has the same ability. Fairy means she's weak to Scizor's Bullet Punch and Scizor is going to be on literally every team this Gen

Jolt and Vaporeon are good. Insanely specialized like the others but good enough at what they do. Espeon is carried by its ability, it's a very good ability that so many pokemon would kill for and it's fortunate to have it. I have zero respect or faith in Umbreon's abilities in battle. Leafeon is a strictly worse Tangrowth and the other two just exist.

Yeah Glaceon is a pretty nice design, but shit in battle just like Flareon.
Espeon is very fast and has great Sp. Attack, its ability only makes it better. If it had piss poor stats like Spinda, I'd agree with you. But Espeon is a great Pokemon with a shitty movepool.
Umbreon... Umbreon is great as a wall in UU and just because it isn't OU in Smogon or whatever, doesn't make it a bad Pokemon.

And Gengar is better in all other circumstances. Hidden Power Ice is better for most dragons, which Gengar can do better. Hydreigon can be taken out with Focus Blast, which Mismagius can't use.

I know that, I like Druddigon for christ's sake. I'm still not a fan of the Pokemon, and never will be. Admittedly bias is a factor (there isn't a pokemon in existence I dislike more than Eeveelutions) but for the most part they are gravely flawed.

Fairy unfortunately does nothing to fix Gardevoir's biggest problems, being frail as fuck and slow. At best she might counter something now, but unless there's some really fucking stellar Fairy move she gains she's low UU at best.

HP Ice is only better for Salamence. Dragonite has dw ability to save it from a OHKO from a gengars HP Ice and can OHKO it right back with just about any attack.

I forgot about that, but Fighting is still the more generally useful type offensively. Gengar and Starmie have been top-tier Pokemon for 5 gens because they're fast, strong, and versatile.
