I'm still waiting for Australia, chances are they'd stick in some pokemon that mimic berry bushes but sporadically call out a pokemon called Apocalyptus, maybe a few different abilities to define "strains" of plants.

Maybe squeeze in some sort of Koala (aware of Audino), maybe evolves with an Apocalyptus in the party, causes the plant Pokemon itself to permanently change forme due to the Koala's evolution.

Would definitely be Fire/Grass though, heard tales of them exploding due to the oil.

Yeah I realize now it sounds a bit idealistic, but gf does know that fans love gens 1+2; they even made the origins anime recently. Just felt that simpler designs and shit would fit the region and I could see them having a lot to reach out to fans of simpler pokemon.
