Why are DP and BW anime fans always at each others throats?

Where's the assumption coming from that these are BWfags in the first place? To my understanding pretty much everyone dropped BW halfway and unanimously agrees that it was the worst season, including the handful of people who actually did finish watching it.

What are opinions

DP fans are angry that BW rushed alot of stuff, had development that was spontaneous instead of gradual, and wasn't slower paced.

BW fans are just butthurt their series wasn't received well in the slightest, and given that most people that enjoyed BW are Irisfags they don't like that her character get's bashed as much as she does.

what??? there was onscreen training in bw. Idk how it compares since I got bored with dp and stopped watching after a while, but actually watched most of bw and enjoyed it. I think one of the things I especially appreciated was that ash FINALLY started rotating his mons instead of the anime bending over backwards to get him to ditch his pokémon. But yeah, obviously I'm a bit biased. Also dawn was okay but iris is Best.

I personally can't see what the appeal behind BW is. It tried so hard to be Kanto 2.0, and it just didn't work. If most fans of BW are "Irisfags" then fine, but I don't see how one character can make an entire series, especially given that character didn't really do all that much in the long run and just sat back and snarked most of the time. The rivals were fun, but I really can't see how Paul was so "boring", he's the deepest rival we've had in a show by Pokemon anime standards.

The game is a unique take on turn based RPGs with loads of customizability and an old-school mindset to it's battle system and an extensive multiplayer that's unrivaled in its genre. Even if you're not a kid in it for the cute colorful creatures there's an appeal to it. It's well made.

The anime is a commercial for the games with characters who are blank slates, recycled plotlines if they exist at all and cheesy dialogue. It's blatantly made for young kids and it's the equivalent of still watching old episodes of Little Bear in your mid-20's.
If you want a lighthearted adventure series that's similar at least watch the Digimon franchise.

I liked them both??? It was really nice to see Ash catch more than 6 pokemon (and actually trade them out sometimes for once unlike in Kanto), and the unova region in general had this really GRAND feeling about it, and I especially liked the rivals and all the random tournaments that pit rivals agains rivals or companions against a different characters rival that shit was great to see. (i did hate how it ended though) in DP I looooved Dawn and I love the battle frontier arc and I love pokemon contests in the anime, and I liked that dawn actually went through "depression" where she lost like 3 times in a row and I especially liked how Jesse was actually good at contests and started winning and even made it to the grand festival. (Oh man I rewatch the grand festival episodes a lot don't get me started)

Dawn had a pretty sweet team you wouldn't totally expect for her character, and I really didn't much care for iris, just if she would have caught like 2 more dragons I would've been set instead of having her axew and then randomly getting a powerful dragonite... like maybe if she caught a Deino from the episode with them, or maybe caught her own Druddigon after encountering that shiny one and losing it to Claire, or getting a Trapinch woulda been sweet...

and she's not very good at dragons either she thought ash's charizard was a dragon type

DPP was the only part of the show I can stand watching, it honestly was pretty alright. Also had by far the best rival fight in the whole series, hands down, and Ash was notably less of a retard than he usually is.

Shamed they pulled Gary Stu Tobias out of their asses at the last minute to make sure Ash couldn't just win the league and fucking be done with it.
