I love this Pokemon so much. Syngnathidae are my favorite animals, and Kingdra and Gorebyss are just... off. They're not all that great. But this new Pokemon is so fucking amazing I can't even handle it. This is going to be the broest of bros. After all the weird and counter-intuitive evolutions we've seen so far, I am so fucking happy that this logical and beautiful Pokemon is real.

Poison/Dragon would be an incredible typing. I prefer that on the notion that Skrelp's a baby Dragon.
Plus, we have Tentacruel as a Water/Poison, so Skrelp would be competing with that competitively.

According to Josh battles are still fairly difficult, it's just that levels are a little higher on trainers/gym leaders to compensate for the level creep

I personally don't mind it since it cuts down on pointless grinding and doesn't penalize you for using certain Pokemon more than others

I like more the previous form, I'll keep him as a skerlp forever. I don't know, it like a short badass assassin, the kind of thing that is small but you know you must not fuck with him.

pokemon pretty much never go from one dual type to another without a reason (ie: scyther trade with steal coat) so the odds of it changing from water to poison to anything else is pretty much zero unless there is something we don't know about the way it evolves.

Muh nigga, I'm doing the exact same thing for a lot of Pokemon this gen. I usually do it anyway, but this gen just happens to have a lot more pre-evos that I find adorable beyond words.
