Either Pumkaboo or Phantump, depending on what looks better ingame
Goomy of course

sixth spot is saved for Bergmite, Espurr, Hawlucha,Honedge, or Tyrunt

Hoping Goodra is Dragon/Fairy because I don't want overlap and would like a Fairy type. Pure Dragon /Water or /Poison are all way more likely though unfortunately. Also I like Greninja a lot more than Chesnaught(who I'm not even that big on) but Chesnaught just works better for the rest of the team.

With this combo I have type coverage for everything encept Water and electric, and still i can probably give EQ to Tyrantrum for electric and i'm sure one of teh avobe can lear some kind of elecric or gras move for water.

I would like to change Blastoise out of the team since I like my first playthrough of every new gen to only have pokemon from that gen but atm I don't like any of the water types(I was thinking clauncher but the evo killed it for me)

Note: this is just a potential team. I may replace Krookodile with Heliolisk. I'm not even sure Poliwhirl is in the game, might replace with Clawizter.

Plus, the Scrafty I have had Thunderpunch, but is lvl100, so I gotta use a regular one in game. Luckily he's early game.

There's just so many choices, it's acutally pretty hard. I mean with Gen V you were limited to just the new ones, but now...

Anyway my (so far) team looks like:
-Delphox
-Staraptor
-Scrafty
-Hone2edgy
-Blastoise
-Ampharos

Of course this might all change depending. Might switch out Staraptor for Mence or some other flyer and Pangoro is pretty much the same as Scrafty but I love Scrafty, so we'll see!

The power difference becomes negligible when you're setting up bulk ups and trying to just recover/get as many boosts as possible. Hi jump kick is more for DD sets where you need the power to get those moxie boosts.

I understand why the tongue scarf happened. It's to do with how frogs lick the bubbles off themselves when they mature. It makes perfect sense, but I think that the bubble theme was something that should've stuck.

Replace Skrelps evo with Aegislash and keep it as a switch in poke just in case you don't like one of your pokes.
The other ones it's hard to say since you have a lot of dark types with Malamar and Greninja, hell the Aegislash was hard putting in the team with Dourgeist in it just because their both Ghost, and I'm just implying you want a balanced team with now double up on types yes?

If Goodra gains a water type I'll have to change it up. Florges looks good for a potential fairy type but I'm afraid it will gain a grass type, also a better fairy might come up. I haven't decided on my mega yet - probably something that can do Sky Battles.

Anyway, I don't know all of the past Pokemon appearing in Kalos, that's what the 6th spot is saved for.

It has hydration I believe. Id love to see it get a second type of fairy water or poison. All would be cool with me. Although Id like a fairy type on my team so that would be my preference but poison makes the most sense.

It's a dragon made of goddamned goo. Guess what other pokemon is made out of goo? Grimer and Muk. Plus those purple-ish and neon green tones aren't really helping matters. It looks quite toxic.

I had these guys in mind. I feel like I'm missing out on steel types and dragons, too, so to cover those 4 with two Pokemon will be a little difficult. Perhaps Skarmory (I bet it'll get a mega, too), and the eventual fairy/dragon. if not a dragon, any decent looking fairy will do, like Florges.

I'm shooting for the same first 4. I'd use Chespin instead of Froakie, but my OCD about having multiple types on the same team stops me from pairing Hawlucha and Chesnaught. And nothing is stopping me from using Hawlucha, not a fucking thing.

I've never been this torn about who my bros were going to be before. Froakie is/was going to be my Starter since its reveal, but Clawncher and its evolution is sexy as hell.

I had to flip a coin to choose between Chesnaught and Greninja. I suppose I could kick Pyroar off the team since he's the only one I would switch out for something more appealing, but it'd just feel weird having two starters from the same gen on my first playthrough.

I have a pretty good type spread with the only notable weaknesses being to the Fairy type. Plus they all look rockin except for Sylveon, but c'mon I need to use a Fairy type and Sylveon is pretty much guaranteed to be good. Plus it fits my criteria for playing a new gen game. I'm only going to be using Gen 6 pokemon for the first time through.

I get why you might want 6 new pokemon on a new gen game, but with Mega evolutions having one old pokemon doesn't seem like a bad idea. I think you should also have one pokemon that can do sky battles.

I don't think it's underrepresented, it's just that most of the fairy pokemon are old pokemon being retconned. I don't wanna use old pokemon my first time playing a new gen (except for one mega).

Those are the only ones that will probably have near-permanent spots on my team. For the rest, I'll just shuffle Pokemon around and see what clicks. I'm liking Tyrantrum, Sylveon, and Hawlucha, but I don't want to commit to anything that isn't INSTANT FAVORITE tier before the game's even out.
