I then worked in the dex, catching everything in-game with master balls.
I didn't have emerald, so I played through Ruby and Sapphire again to get all the legendaries and those goddamn Clamperl items.
100% on Colloseum plus Mt Battle for Ho-Oh
Purified Lugia on Gale of Darkness, 3 more times through Mt Battle for those Johto starters.

Those balls are my constant shame, yet completing the dex will never require that much work again. I will never redeem myself.
