I'm a bit behind, but did someone already calculated the base stats for this pokemon? Is he still a viable special attacker? I heard his SP.attack also got a boost in the mega evolution but I don't know how much.
I have an IV/EV trained Charizard in SP. attack and I don't want to start over. I'm also not too fond of his physical attacks.

We don't know, none of the hackers have one yet, and even if they did it would take careful EV training to figure out its base stats.

If that is true I think I still prefer going with SpA. I don't like fire blitz and his other choice is fire punch? I'd think a fire blast would still do more damage, but it depends on how much his ability adds.

The problem is Charizard X's ability powers up physical attacks, there is very little reason to use it's S.Atk even if it is excellent.

Its physical fire moves aren't that great.

It's got THE best physical Fire move, Flare Blitz. Charizard naturally has a far better physical movepool than special.. In fact, it's special movepool is pretty shitty.

You can go mixed with Megazard X, but full special would be a waste of it's potential. Maybe as a surprise factor it'd work, sorta like physical Mewtwo builds, but it's still outclassed.

I forgot to mention that I plan on both using normal charizard and X, not one exclusively.(he is also not the only mega in my team) is SpA then the better choice?

I might do Outrage but i like to either use Outrage or Dragon Claw + Dragon Dance. Its a choice between retard strength or more control that might need a little but mote set-up and i feel like he gets enough retard strength with the Flare Blitz, i guess.

Still might just go for Outrage though.
