Just a mini-PSA to XL owners out there:
Don't use a microfiber cloth between the screens when closing it.
I thought I'd give it a shot since people keep complaining about how the XL still has the dot scratch issue.
Only after I started trying this did tiny dots appear around the area the bottom screen bezel would touch.
You are actually increasing the pressure of any particles that might be between the screens by putting something in between.
If you're so worried, just remember that Nintendo has been replacing units that get the dots under warranty.
My advice is use the device normally, and if it ever becomes an issue, send it in.
Also, don't Hori protectors slightly tint the screens and interfere with the 3D?
