I was thinking the same thing. The reason there were so few new pogeymans in XY was because we would be getting more in Z...that would be a greatly appreciated move by GF if they were to do so

All games of a certain gen have to have the same datatbase or it would cause errors

Did ANY gen add new pokemon besides the one or two new forms of old pokemon? Hell did ANY gen add new pokemon that would change the index number in the coding?

That kind fo shit would cause MASSIVE errors if they let that get by

I think you're over thinking it, and are making some serious and unbasable assumptions.

You're assuming that they haven't already programmed 70 more pokemon into the game, and are just holding them back, very much like they held back Kanto pokemon in Gen 3 for FireRed/LeafGreen.

If they DID do that, (and I'm not saying they are, I'm simply saying, for the sake of the argument, if they did) there wouldn't be any databasing problems at all.
