I don't have a 3DS and I was considering buying one for Pokemon X/Y. However after seeing the leaks I decided to just wait for the mandatory third version.
Is there anyone else who made the same choice?

First of all the pokemon in that picture looks gayer than a dildo with elton john's head as the head. Second of all if you're holding out for the third version of the game you're really only going to get a slight upgrade. Version 3 is always a cash grab. Basically like paying full price for a DLC or a software update.

Do whatever you feel comfortable with, mate.
I will be getting Y now, in spite of all the negative news nowadays, simply 'cause it's my first new pokemon game since Diamond.
But if you don't mind waiting for another year you might as well wait for Z (Maybe Zigarde gets a little cooler by then).

I don't have a 3DS, even though Christmas is coming and I could ask my mom for one. Even so, I'm skipping X/Y because of the third game trend. Yes, I know, Black and White 2 blah blah blah. But even so, they turned out to be better games than Black and White.

Think of it this way: you buy one game, then buy the similar (Or even same) game again. It just doesn't make sense. You pick your starter twice 'n all that, it just feels weird.

Also, I like having one game per generation. Using GTS / trading with other people is actually kinda fun. Having both versions just ruins it for me.

So yeah, I'm gonna wait 2 years for Pokemon Z. In the mean time, I'll finish the Pokedex on Black 2 and do some shiny hunting until then.
