They will have to stop slowing down Pokemon production as its becoming impossible to catch them all.
Not to mention we don't know anything about 'event legends' yet, since we cannot crack the game's code. I can say with almost full certainty that these will be additional Pokemon.
Not to mention the Megas we have not been able to discover yet, with the leak list-up of mega Pokemon there is still most of that unknown. (When that list did have Gyarados, Gengar, Aerodactyl... it had all 5 previous regions.)
Have we seen any of the other starter megas yet? Or as a matter of fact really anything from Johto? That list had Celebi even listed. Tyranitar too.
People, relax, enjoy the game when its released. A few leaks shouldn't dampen spirits that much. This is what happens when a leak happens... always. Experience the game yourself without per-conceived notions.
