My name is jimmy gleddan, back in 2000 i was knocked into a coma, i just woke up yesterday. before my accident i loved pokemon so much, i was knocked out a few weeks before gold and silver. whats happen to pokemon in the last 13 years?

With the introduction of the special stats, things in pokemon became tunnels into the core of the strategy in which only your bond between pokemon and master will determine the outcome or battles
Pokemon now resemble things slightly more complex, and they too have become more complex.

It Megaevolved.

You have missed so much it's hard to list it all. Gen VI is about to begin, there are now (so far) 719 Pokémon along with new Mega evolution. Pokémon have genders, you can breed them, there's day and night cycle, probably they kept seasons cycle too, abilities, attacks were split into physical and special instead of relying on type, held items and much more.
