I'm not going to be one of those "THIS SHOULD BE THE NEW ANIME ASH IS DUMB" chest-thumpers, but I would have enjoyed seeing this expanded upon. I liked the idea of focusing on specific parts of the game's storyline without the episodes being a direct continuation of the previous, but the whole "let's gloss over half my adventures just to get to Silph Co story" felt like a missed opportunity.

I really wish this series was expanded upon and at least get a full season treatment. The show played out more like my imaginary pokemon experience did when I played my red version as a kid.

Obviously they can't/won't pull the plug on their old anime and style, people really got into the characters and setting they put together there, but I think a more intelligent rendering of the IP for the older fans would be a good move on their part.

If you want English Pokemon names, get the Eeveetaku release, otherwise get the PM one. Both are quality releases, both use official game dialogue when the anime quotes it (though the Evetaku tosses in a lot of game quotes when the anime ISN'T quoting the game too... it's a bit annoying, but someone who haven't played the Japanese games probably wouldn't even notice), and both have accurate translations.

The Japanese word for "persuation" is "satoshi", so they heard that, assumed it was a name, then ignored the entire rest of the line apart from "Pokemon Tower" and just wrote down some guesswork.
