The designs for this generation appeal to many. From cool big bruting monster to cute little feminine fairies this generation has much more variety when it comes to designs.

While Froakie's final stage is a bit unexpected and Fenikin's is a bit bland there are things to enjoy about them. Chespin's final stage though is one of my favorites this generation.
>Quality of New Legendaries
Yveltal is quite an imposing figure to view with it's "3" wings covered in what look like veins, it's near blood red and black coloring, and it's devilish horns.
Xerneas is quite a majestic being with it's royal blue and black body under it's gorgeous golden antlers with jewels embedded much like a king's crown.
Zygarde is also imposing looking something of a cobra mixed with something more sinister. It's green and black coloring is common among what is considered a "bad guy" and lack of natural eyes makes one wonder what it's focus is really on.
>Presence of Mega-Evolution
Megas help a lot of well liked pokemon become legendary in battle turning the tides for their trainers.
>Quality of Mega-Evolutions
Some are strange while most are amazing and awesome. Their abilities and stats increased will be a very welcomed addition to the battling scene.

Fairy is a very interesting type and is a welcomed addition to most as it changes up the stagnant type chart that we've dealt with for over a decade.

It is a bit saddening that hardly any Pokemon have gotten a new evolution, though the Megas may have replaced what generation four did to most evolution lines.

Very interesting. The bank function is welcomed by fans who have droves of boxes full of breeding projects or what have you, and is very useful for those who have and want to send pokemon from older games to use this generation. Though most people do not like the yearly fee.

overall maybe a 3.5 or a 4. Sure there aren't a lot of new pokemon, but they renedered all 649 of the other pokemon in 3d, and i'm excited for that. I think 7th gen is going to leagues ahead of this game though. I feel like gen 6 was just an intro to 3ds. Only thing i'm actually pissed at is no challenge mode holy fucking christ

1.5. It's a shame. I really thought this gen would break the trend of classic GameFreak laziness. Why take out features as great as challenge mode and the medal system and give us nothing in their stead? Why give us character customization if we don't have complete freedom? It's truly mind boggling. No post game is an absolute atrocity as well.

5/5 - I'm happy with all of the starters and can see myself using any of the 3. Probably the only gen I can say that about, besides maybe Gen 4. I think all starters should be dual-type.

They aren't too bad, but looking at my gen 5 pokedex and a lot of 5's ones look a lot better. That being said, some of the best pokemon in 6 look better than the best in 5. e.g. amaura/tyrantrum/yveltal/xerneas/noivern/litleo etc ect etc. Amazing designs, but offset by some really poor ones.

Talk about a let down. Babby forms looked amazing. Second forms were even better. And the third ones were absolute shit.
