The rival was so contrived and obnoxious that I actually found myself rooting for team plasma. 0/10
The story was the 3rd best in the series, after the spectacular BW1 and the fairly decent emerald version. However, it should have been better, and more able to stand on its own merits. 7/10
The pokemon selection was actually a bit too wide, and lacked focus. However, that is a good problem to have. 9/10
Overall 8/10. Not quite as good as BW1 on the first playthrough, but very polished and plenty of replay value.
