Well using Charizard Y as your opener could be a valid strategy.

The weather boost combined with his stupidly high attack would fucking wreck most of the standard openers. Meaning Rocks won't even hit the field.

It will probably also have more boosts besides Sp Atk.
Megazard X had boosts to Atk, Def and Sp Atk

Definite Speed and SpAtk boosts to balance the boosts from CharX. The third may be Attack.
Here's hoping for a Def or HP boost instead because of wings=evasive=defending

Too bad it kept the flying type, tho. And its arms (except shoulders) and head are inferior to 'zard X.
