Opinion time - do you think ALL the starters should get Mega Evolutions, /vp/?

I know this has never worked as well in execution as it has in theory, but I thought Game Freak's intention here was to put all of the starters on equal footing as much as possible. Giving Mega Evolutions to some starters and not others seems like it would be playing favoritism to me, but that's just the way I see it.
