Besides being more expensive, does buying Pokemon Y/X (or any game, for that matter) in the Nintendo E-Shop instead of buying a physical copy have any cons?

There's really no cons, besides not being able to actually have the physical cartridge and taking up space in the SD Card. I bought New Leaf via eShop and I actually prefer it because I always have it on my 3DS and I'm able to get a lot of stuff through spotpass.

Also, it's actually not more expensive, it's the same price as the physical copy. They apply the sales tax just like in any other store.

Physical copies are technically more expensive because you have to pay tax on them. In the eShop it's just $40 flat.

Ultimately, it's the tangibility of the game. There's something nice of being able to hold it.
