no nigger. in fact normal types are actually great because of their move pool flexibility and most usually are either pretty bulky or heavy hitters.

Bug tends to be a wild card, there are a lot of shitty bugs but some really good ones. The Fighting and Ground resistance are nice, as is its strength against psychic. It's still pretty shit offensively, though because it's fucking resisted by 7 types(Why the fuck did they make Fairy resist it)

There's literally only 4 good bug types: scizor, scyther, volcarona and yanmega
Psychic or water is the best type
Alakazam, gardevoir, starmie, espeon, grumpig, they're all kick ass

ice, grass, and bug are all in contention for worst type.

bug makes a decent dual type though due to it's resistence to ground and fighting and having some okay offensive ability.

grass has access to some useful moves like spore and leech seed which help it out.

ice is terrible defensively and great offensively but more often than not this means ice moves get used instead of ice pokemon.

poison has always been pretty bad, being weak to ground and psychic, while only good against the already mediocre grass. immunity to toxic/toxic spikes is nice but steel kind of hogs the immunity game. with gen 6 and the addition of fairy type poison might be getting better and it resists fighting so there is hope it will be alright.

ice is probably the worst.

grass has some of the best moves in the game. and unlike with poison those moves are not available outside of the type. it's also really important for taking out bulky water/ground pokemon.
