I got a Tsarget preorder long ago (before they even started coming with the Xerneas/Yveltal pins, does anyone know if I can still get one?), and they're not doing the midnight release, so I'm going to wait until Saturday morning, 8 AM if possible.

I'll be at NY Comic-Con on launch day. Nintendo confirmed they're selling it at a booth there, so I'm picking it up at Comic Con.

If they run out for some reason, I'll check NWS after. If they're out, I'll be a man about it and just get it the next day. I will be too tired/not have time to really play on release day anyway. Bad timing on my part.

The day the pikachu xl was released I went and asked and the lady just told methat they would most likely put them in the next few days, and she wasn't lying, I went like three days later and they still have a few left.

If they have the games in-store (which they will) and it's the 12th, then there's no reason for them not to sell them then and there. It'll help since I'll have people with me, going to buy the same product. I don't think every employee in the store is going to turn us away for wanting to buy a game at midnight.
