Just admit it. Just admit 70 Pokemon is kind of a letdown.
Seriously. Stop rationalizing, stop excusing it, just fess up and admit it would be nice if the game had everything it does now, plus an extra 30 or so new Pokemon.
It really shouldn't be this hard to concede that Game Freak could have done a little better. Nobody needs to convince you that the game is bad, or that it's necessarily lazy, or that you shouldn't buy the games. Just admit that it is a fault and will hopefully be corrected in the next generations.
