Hail now raises speed for all of them and makes fighting attacks do half the damage because they get frozen.
Add it a normal damage against rock and you find yourself a good typing.

30 speed sucks but it's not like standard Abomasnow as a speed demon.
Ice Shard is still going to hurt, especially if it gets Forest Curse as well to fuck up with fire- and steel-type switch-ins.

It would really be interesting like that, as now ice would be noneffective against water and viceversa.

Since that freezedry move came out they could have made scald a supereffective move against ice. Would have made for an interesting relationship.

Make it resist Grass (make sense since plants have a hard time growing in frost), get rid of its Fighting weakness (doesn't make sense since ice can be extremely hard, far too hard to punch apart).

Make Ice resist Ground, Water and Electric.
In addition, make Grass do neutral damage to Fire, Bug and Flying, make Bug do neutral damage to Ghost and Poison and SE Fairy, and make Poison do SE to Water.

That should have been day 1 decisions, Game Freak. Instead we get eternal OU Gengar by removing Ghost and Dark resists from Steel.

I always thought Ice should be an offensive type seeing as how it was one of the few types that could beat dragon, but GF keeps making bulky ice types so they apparently think differently.

Make Ice resist normal, bug, flying (similar to rock and steel) and also have it resist water, fairy, and dragon (for a bit of a unique flair.)

That would unbalance the starter triangle unless they made fire neutral v water and water neutral v grass.

Yeah, Poison should definitely SE Bug. And bug just needs to hurt more stuff in general. I don't know what the people in the thread who call for Ice to resist Bug when already 7 types resist it are thinking.

Remove its weakness to Fighting, give it a resistance to Water, Rock and Ground. Remove its SE to ground as compensation. Make Hail heal Ice-types by 1/16 a turn and increase both of their defenses by 25%.
